Hey, I'm Laura

( but you can call me Lu )

Born in NYC and raised in suburban Massachusetts, I've always felt drawn to capturing the micro details of everyday life. Don't get me wrong - I love exciting and new things, but there are so many beautiful aspects in our everyday lives that we look over in our daily rush and grind. My goal as a visual creator is to show you what life can look like through a time-warping magnifying glass - to change your focal length a bit.

Attending the University of Massachusetts in Amherst gave me a fairy tale setting to explore my crafts. The vast rolling hills, forests, agricultural lifestyle, and artist culture of ideal Western Mass gave me an opportunity to explore my appreciation for the natural world and how we interact with it. This is where my passion and appreciation for conscious food and cooking blossomed. I believe that culinary culture is one of the most overlooked aspects of our lives, while also being one of the most beautiful and involved aspects of our lives.

Although creating still and moving visuals has been a constant passion and interest, I spent my college years immersed in Jazz music, directing a cappella, and studying non-profit arts organization. It may appear off topic, but I gained truly valuable insight into what it means to work in a community, work hard, with passion, vision, and artistry. Only half of my college career was spent learning to produce visuals, the other half was spent learning why I want to create.

I am available for immediate work in the MA/New England area, but don't count yourself out if you're farther away! Just shoot me an e-mail and I'd be more than happy to figure out something for your next project.

Thank you for taking the time to check out my site and work; I hope to meet you in the near future. Don't hesitate to reach out to me via my contact page with any inquiries or just to say hi!
